Westcove Announces its First Endowment Recipient at UCLA Anderson
LOS ANGELES, CA – March 22, 2023 – In January 2022, Westcove announced that it established the Westcove Partners Endowment, a $500,000 endowment to be awarded to underrepresented full-time MBA students at the UCLA Anderson School of Management (“UCLA Anderson”). This partnership with UCLA Anderson and the Anderson Leadership Giving Challenge was created to help underrepresented full-time MBA students by removing the financial stress and burden of pursuing higher education and professional opportunities. Westcove is proud to announce its first endowment recipient: Cassandra Ronquillo, a member of the UCLA Anderson Class of 2024.
In speaking about how receiving the Westcove Partners Endowment impacted her decision to pursue an MBA program, Cassandra stated, “for many years, I rarely entertained the idea of going back to school mostly because of the deep cost and opportunity costs associated with an MBA program. It did not seem like a realistic dream for someone whose family is not subsidizing. The Westcove Partners Endowment means a lot to me and receiving it ensured that this unrealistic dream became a reality, and I am so pleased and feel a sense of pride and privilege to be pursuing my MBA at UCLA Anderson, especially with the Westcove fellowship.”
