February 2021

Los Angeles

Los Angeles, California, February 1, 2021 — Westcove Partners (“Westcove”) announced today that Shan Chawla has joined the firm as an Associate within the healthcare investment banking team. Shan will play an integral role in our healthcare mergers and acquisition processes. Previously, Shan was working on both life science and healthcare service transactions as part of Cantor Fitzgerald’s healthcare investment banking department in New York City. Prior to that, Shan spent three years providing valuation and corporate financial advisory services at the Michel-Shaked Group, a consulting firm based out of Boston. Shan graduated from Boston University with magna cum laude honors and also has the Chartered Financial Analyst designation.

“I am incredibly excited to join the Westcove team as an Associate. Prior to joining the firm, Justin spoke to me in length on what he was hoping to accomplish with Westcove – build a best-in-class investment banking firm that prioritizes client service and satisfaction, while promoting a novel solution to the traditional investment banking culture. I am thrilled to help Westcove deliver on this mission, as well as help the firm’s growth and development in my home city of Los Angeles.”

“Shan’s enthusiasm for healthcare, coupled with a proficiency in both finance and accounting make him an excellent fit for our growing team. The experiences he cultivated through his past work as an investment banker and working through complex turn-around situations in valuation consulting will be extremely useful as we seek to provide the best possible advisory services for our clients. Our entire team welcomes him and looks forward to seeing him play a fundamental role in both our firm’s success as well as our client’s, says Justin Hand, Managing Director of Westcove.
