Westcove Invests in Chezie

LOS ANGELES, CA – October 14, 2022 – Westcove Partners, LLC (“Westcove”), an emerging and highly specialized investment bank, announced today that it has made an equity investment into Chezie. Founded by Toby and Dumebi Egbuna, two first-generation Nigerian immigrants with a passion to help people coming from underrepresented communities find workplaces where they feel they belong, Chezie is a platform that helps jobseekers by gathering Stories from employees at prospective companies. Using these Stories, candidates can better gauge what it’s like to work at a company from people that identify similarly to them. Chezie also leverages its platform to provide software solutions to help employers track the membership, events, budget, and engagement of Employee Resource Groups (ERG), which ultimately creates a more diverse and inclusive workplace.

Chezie Chief Executive Officer and Co-Founder Toby Egbuna commented, “We would like to thank Westcove for helping us in fulfilling our vision, to create the most inclusive and equitable workplaces on earth. The Westcove team has been the embodiment of a company honoring its social responsibilities, and we appreciate the opportunity to work with an investor that shares common values with Chezie.”
Dumebi Egbuna, Co-Founder and Chief Marketing Officer, said “We are honored to receive this funding. Chezie’s mission is to help underrepresented students and professionals find companies that they love. Westcove’s funding will propel us to grow our technology team and enhance user experience to move our mission forward.”
Abe M’Bodj, Vice President at Westcove, stated “Huge congratulations to the Chezie team. The Westcove team is proud to play a part in Chezie’s journey and we are thrilled to know that our investment will help foster more inclusive and connected workforces for underrepresented employees.”
