Westcove Partners Endowment Announces its Fellowship Recipient

LOS ANGELES, CA – March 12, 2025 – The Westcove Partners Endowment at UCLA Anderson School of Management (“UCLA Anderson”) proudly announces its second recipient, Kelly Young. Westcove Partners (“Westcove”) established its $500,000 endowment at UCLA Anderson in 2022. In partnership with UCLA Anderson and the Anderson Leadership Giving Challenge, the Westcove Partners Endowment will live in perpetuity and is expected to reduce financial barriers for underrepresented full-time MBA students for generations.

Kelly Young, former Senior Community Manager at Khoros, has been an active member of the UCLA Anderson Community. She has immersed herself with several on-campus clubs such as the Entertainment Management Association, Tech Business Association at Anderson, and Black Business Students Association. Below are her responses on the impact the Westcove Partners Fellowship had for her, her decisions to attend UCLA Anderson, and her expectations for the first year of the MBA program.

What difference did this fellowship make for you?

I am so grateful to receive the Westcove Partners Endowment fellowship. Now that I know about fellowships like these, I can share more about financial opportunities at Anderson with potential future students who are worried about paying for school.

What inspired you to pursue an MBA and why did you decide to attend UCLA Anderson?

I wanted to pursue my MBA to pivot from social media management to a more general marketing field—an MBA from Anderson would allow me to be able to better understand the marketing side of a business. Anderson has so many great resources for students who are specifically interested in marketing in the technology industry.

What are you most looking forward to during your time at UCLA Anderson?

I am most looking forward to getting involved in clubs such as Entertainment Management Association, AnderTech and the Black Business Student Association. Additionally, I can’t wait to participate in “Days-on-the-Job” and network with people in my desired industry. I am also excited to enjoy more of what LA has to offer.
